Mad Floppy Hatter

I thought I was impervious to the ploys of advertisers.  Alas, I have been greatly influenced by a beautiful photograph which possibly plays to my dreams of youth.  I am much happier now than I was at 16 so realistically, I suppose it's not the years of my youth but the skin and hair of my youth I yearn for which  I obviously did not appreciate then since I baked in the sun with no remorse.   I wish I had paid more attention to sunscreen.  Nevertheless, I have been brainwashed by a company selling shoes. But, it's not the shoes I desire, it's the hat in the advertisement which they do not even sell!  I have Googled high and low to bring you the Cole Haan ad but it's NOwhere to be had.  Nevermind the fact that no one in my town ever wears winter hats, the problem I have now is to decide which color I want. So, I bring you these lovely chapeaus to ponder.....  Ivory, camel, white, brown, khaki, red, black, taupe ..... hmmmm......

Leave your worry on the doorstep.
Just direct your feet,
To the sunny side of the street"

Mystery Blossoms

A couple of weeks ago on a Sunday morning after breakfast at the Emporium,  I  passed in front of Massarella's Firehouse Pottery (where our lovely dog water bowl is from) and saw these incredibly dreamy blossoms lining their driveway.  Roses they are not as there were no leaves or thorns. Maybe some kind of cherry blossom... though they were small bushes.  Can't you see them in an antique Chinese blue and white vase! What are they???

Under the blossom that hangs on the bough."

Arbolada Rainbow - White

Today is the last posting for the Arbolada Rainbow and though you may not realize it, white IS a color! And though the Chinese may associate white with death (maybe it's because people see white light at the end of the tunnel??), most colors associate white with purity and goodness.

When I was growing up, I was told that if I ever felt afraid or ill, I should visualize myself wrapped in white light which is supposed to protect one from negative energies.  Through many personal experiences, I have come to believe this to be true.   I feel that white light is pure positive energy..... pure love.  Why do you think so many people lay on the beach or grass and soak up the rays?  It feels fabulous!

I love.....

cumulus clouds
white linen
Soft lambs wool
white sand
vanilla ice cream
rice
moon
ice cold milk
swans
bubble bath
fluffy white towels
snow
Santa's (or Grandpa's) beard!
polar bears
pearls
big toothy smile

What else??????
