Heaven & Earth

These turquoise beads were a great find on Ebay, though I wasn't sure what I would do with them at the time of purchase. I couldn't resist them as they reminded me of a little planet... our beautiful gaia... of earth and water.  I knew I wanted to hang them from a handmade silver piece that I would eventually create and when I had them in my own hand, I knew that the silver would represent the heavens.  Keeping with the theme of my "Cosmic Mandala" pendant, I decided to make a unique silver "cosmic" disc for each bead.  Here are the results!

I'm going to call them "Heaven and Earth" .......hoping to get them up on Etsy tonight!

Dear Penny, Thank you so much for your kind comment on my journal. Just when I think I am losing my mojo an encouraging word comes along to help me keep moving forward...from the bottom of my heart thank you... I love those earrings over there..Gandhara collection..maybe some day when I feeling a bit more "flush"...would love to have someting tht you made..It's hard isn't it to keep motivatied in the arts...I don't sell much...and I keep buying materials but to me that is part of the fun!!! I need to stop worrying about the money aspect and just enjoy the journey...How do you feel about such things...I know your medium has got to be pricey and certainly no room for mistakes!! what other jewelers do you admire...Hope you have a beautiful weekend....
